HiFi World's January 2006 edition includes reviews of three products distributed in the UK by überphon.

In the first ever UK magazine review of a PHONOSOPHIE amplifier, the Classic 1 integrated amplifier is awarded the maximum score of 5 Globes by HiFi World. The verdict is that "Superlative speed, detail and timbral resolution, plus fine build and distinctive styling, make this an extremely accomplished integrated amplifier." Commenting further that "the Phonosophie Classic 1 is one of the very best products at the price and therefore an essential audition", its key features of excellent design, upgradeability and superb sound quality all receive high praise.

Dominic Todd reviews the ALR JORDAN Entry S mini-monitor speaker and comments that "The Entry S proves that real hi-fi can come in small packages and be reasonably priced . . . . for a speaker that makes even a Linn Kan look podgy, the big soundstage and vivid vocals were highly impressive."

Editor David Price also reviews the artkustik Audio-Animator in the same edition of HiFi World. He finds its influence makes the sound "smoother, richer and more open and expansive sounding" . He summarises that "In all instances, this 'magic wand' cast a subtle but useful spell . . . . and as such is recommended."

HiFi Choice awards the ALR JORDAN Classic 5 Best Buy status in its Ultimate Group Test of speakers published in the January 2006 edition (Issue 275). Paul Messenger comments that the speaker's "sweet, lively sound has delightful top-to-bottom coherence, a notably wide dynamic range and pin-point imaging."
