PHONOSOPHIE Impuls 1 cd player
The entry point to the range of Phonosophie cd players, the Impuls 1 is the most cost-effective way to experience the "More Live" sound of Phonosophie. It is fully upgradeable to any of the other models in the range.

This cd player was awarded the maximum score of 5 Globes in the HiFi World June 2005 review.

PHONOSOPHIE Classic 1 integrated amplifier
Minimalist design combined with a very stable power supply enable this integrated amp to deliver 2x45W(8Ω) or 2x70W(4Ω) with ease - when tested by HiFi World, the measured output was found to be 55W (8Ω) and 80W (4Ω), comfortably exceeding the specified ratings. Highly musical, this amplifier can be specified with on-board phono-stage modules as required and the highly effective Butterworth filter module to further refine the sound quality.

This amplifier has received the maximum score of 5 Globes in HiFi World's January 2006 review.

ALR JORDAN Classic 5 loudspeakers
Awarded Best Buy status in HiFi Choice's January 2006 edition. In the Ultimate Group Test, Paul Messenger scored the Classic 5 at 88% overall, whilst commenting that "the speaker's impressive overall coherence ensures fine musical communication; the top end is notably sweet, smooth and well extended; imaging is a particular forté; the very clean sound and wide dynamic range through the bass region convincingly reproduces low level ambient information".
This elegant floorstanding speaker features a 25 mm coated fabric-membrane tweeter and twin 150mm Jordan aluminium cone drivers in the classic D'Appolito configuration. With superb mid-range clarity and an agile bass, the speaker excels at delivering a convincing portrayal of the recorded acoustic.
The Classic 5 is available in alder, birch and black ash high quality real wood veneers.

PHONOSOPHIE LS2 speaker cable
Two 4m lengths of 2x6mm diameter high purity copper cable terminated with 4mm copper-plated speaker plugs. Designed as an integral part of the Phonosophie amplifier output-stage, use of this cable is mandatory for optimum performance from the system.

PHONOSOPHIE Classic rack
The ideal support for Phonosophie electronics. Available in silver, dark grey, red or black, model 2BTGS includes top and bottom spikes and has two tiers, complete with black Classic boards.

Summary

This highly dynamic system is an excellent example of the high quality you can expect from PHONOSOPHIE and ALR JORDAN. Owing to the close working relationship between these manufacturers, this system combination is superbly matched both from an electronic and acoustic perspective.

The Impuls 1 cd player delivers a truly musical performance and was recently awarded the coveted 5 Globes rating in HiFi World's June 2005 review. Also scoring 5 Globes - in HiFi World's January 2006 review - the matching Classic 1 integrated amplifier is capable of delivering 2 x 70 watts (continuous) via the ALR Jordan Classic 5 loudspeakers. Available in alder, birch or black ash real wood veneers, these tall, slim speakers offer a highly emotional portrayal of source material and are noted particularly for their highly detailed mid-range performance.
